There are MANY times when I am shooting that I photograph something that I LOVE. There are plenty of moments I am able to capture which become personal favorites, or experiences that are put into my memory banks for the feelings I experience as I am able to preserve those memories for someone else. But, I must say out of all the births, the weddings, the heartwrenching funeral slideshows, the precious newborns and the many, many familes and couples in love…this is by far my favorite session type EVER. I hope I can photograph many more of these beautiful events as they just bring me such an incredible amount of JOY!
This was supposed to post yesterday (I have spotty internet access right now)…it is something to celebrate despite the many, many lives lost to our terrible 9/11 tragedy. A way to remember and honor the people who defend our country and go fight terrorism so that we may have freedom.
This is the slideshow of a soldier coming home from Afghanistan. My cousin is in the USAF and even though he wasn’t scheduled to be home until well after the birth of his baby, he made it home, only hours before his son entered this world. It was the HAPPIEST experience to photograph both events and to watch everyone’s emotions and true happiness to be reunited once again!
I hope you enjoy it as well. If you or someone you know has a family member currently deployed, please contact me about photographing their homecoming, it is definitely one of those special life events that captures such beautiful emotion and shouldn’t be left to slow point and shoot cameras!
